Pedal Mods

Standard ProCo Rat Mod: LM308 chip, three-way clipping switch (stock silicon diodes, no clipping diodes, LED clipping), boss-style barrel jack (if your pedal has the old style phono jack), any sort of minor repair (replace a burnt power resistor usually) included. my most popular mod, I've sold a ton of these modded Rats on Reverb/eBay
Standard DS-1/Digitech Hot Head Mod: tighter bass. more usable gain. asymmetrical ("tube-like") clipping with an LED and silicon diodes instead of the symmetrical silicon clipping diodes. less nasal and more usable tone control. cleaner signal through film caps. and a bright ass blue led (hot head also has the bass control adjusted). Note: must be a through hole component DS-1
Standard DOD 250 Mod: 3-way clipping switch so that you have stock silicon clipping diodes, no clipping diodes (max volume, more of an overdrive sound), LED clipping (more volume than silicon diodes but still hard clipping... basically a happy medium)
Standard DOD/Digitech Death Metal/American Metal Mod: adjust the values so that the low and mid controls are very similar to the HM-2 low and high pots (although with much more range since the pots are considerably larger... i wasn't able to play with the bass control maxed because there was SO MUCH low end) the high control has been changed from a stock value of 9khz (really, DOD?! all it did was add hiss and buzzzzz) to roughly 1.4khz, so you can add or subtract some extra high frequency content if needed
obviously it's a completely different clipping circuit from the HM-2 but it's a neat take on the chainsaw sound
Standard Electro-Harmonix Big Muff NYC Mod (not the SMD pedals): convert to true bypass. standard boss-style dc jack. tone stack changed to triangle muff with an added switch to remove the mid scoop. clipping diode switch to choose between stock silicon, LEDs, or 'secret' middle setting: one stage silicon, one stage LEDs. lots of good tones in here and you can run it on a normal supply (try it at 12v too!)
Standard Boss BD-2 Blues Driver Mod: more Marshall-y tone stack, ,make tone control more useful. asymmetrical clipping with smoother distortion. tighter bass, more mid response. I also like to add an orange power LED
Standard Boss HM-3 Hyper Metal Mod: stock this had a decent sound but it sounds killer after adjusting the tone stack with HM-2 values and adjusting the clipping a bit (I prefer LED clipping to standard silicon diodes - more volume and less compression really push the front end of a tube amp). it's closer to an overdrive/distortion than the too high gain distortion it originally was. does it chainsaw? meh kinda. it's nice for two guitar bands/doubling work/two amps/etc as it blends quite nicely with the HM-2
Standard Wah Mod: replace the guts of your Vox, Crybaby, etc wah with a clone of a dynamite Colorsound Wah-Wah (not inductorless, this one uses an inductor) that came across my bench. change to true bypass for no tone suck when off and add an LED so that you know when the darn thing is on!
Other Standard Mods - Boss, DOD, etc: Just ask!
Custom Mods: Want a particular sound? I'll work with you to get it, including sending back and forth if it needs tweaking (buyer to pay additional shipping)
